Check-in and Check-out process
Check-in: Report to the National Cadet Training Center between 1300-1400. Recruits are to report in the Physical Fitness uniform; Cadets are to report in ACUs; Civilians reporting for Military Adventure Camp are to report in the USAC polo shirt and khaki slacks.
DO NOT REPORT EARLIER THAN 1300 if you have ANY Cadets/recruits with you. (Cadre may report as early as 0900). We are not able to accept early arrival of Cadets/recuits. Also, be sure that you are prepared to have your 201 files inspected upon arrival and that your final payments are ready. It puts HQ, USAC at a huge disadvantage when personnel wait until the last minute to register and make payment; If you have not paid by the deadline date, you will be charged the late fee.
ACES: ACES will be open for last-minute uniform and equipment purchases upon arrival.
Uniform Deposit: Remember that you must remit $20 per person as a Uniform and Equipment deposit to pay for any missing items (T-shirts, etc.).
Haircuts: All recruits must have a "High and Tight" haircut. Cadets must be Army Regulation.
Calls: If you have routine questions, please use the numbers found here on the website, rather than calling one of our cell phones.
Receiving day is a VERY hectic day. It's a slow and tedious process. Upon check-in, please BE PATIENT. The safety of our Cadets/recruits is paramount; therefore, we will not cut any corners.
Check-out: We will try to stream-line the check-out process as much as possible; however, please remember that we have nearly 200 people who have to check-out during each graduation day and those who are on FLIGHTS on Saturday evening will take priority. Please plan on as much as two hours for check-out.
IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT EACH MEMBER'S TRANSPORTATION ARRANGEMENTS ARE IN THE TRAVEL DATABASE
(Available approximately 1 Jun 09)
The check-out process will be time-consuming. We MUST have accountability for every young Cadet who is leaving here, so we must have a signature assuming custody of the Cadet. Since we have some who are traveling by plane, with VERY tight departure times, the following priority will be used in the check-out process:
Priority 1: Cadets who are traveling by plane or train, unaccompanied, on Saturday evening.
Priority 2: Staff members who are traveling by plane or train, on Saturday evening.
Priority 3: Cadets who are traveling by plane or train, accompanied by family, on Saturday.
Priority 4: Cadets who are traveling by car over 250 miles, leaving on Saturday.
Priority 5: Staff members who are traveling by car over 250 miles, leaving on Saturday.
Priority 6: Cadets who are traveling by car less than 250 miles, leaving on Saturday.
Priority 7: Staff members who are traveling by car less than 250 miles, leaving on Saturday.
Priority 8: Cadets or Staff who are leaving after Saturday. |
