Part-Time Bookkeeper

The United States Army Cadet Corps, Inc. (USAC), a Kentucky-based 501(c)(3) youth education organization, headquartered in Millersburg, Kentucky, Bourbon County, is seeking a qualified candidate to be responsible for maintaining all financial budgets and statements for the day-to-day decision making process of the organization. Work alongside the Commanding General and Chief of Staff to develop financial policies and procedures.

Preferred candidates will have proven experience with:

  • Preparation of monthly financial reports and graphs
  • Preparation and tracking of annual budgets
  • Invoice processing to efficiently handle both AP/AR functions as well as communication with vendors
  • Software proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Excel to efficiently process accounting information
  • A familiarity with the military culture is preferred

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial statements for the organization
  • Perform internal audits and journal entries
  • Pay bills on a weekly basis
  • Assist at sponsored events
  • Reconcile bank accounts and deposit cash receipts
  • Allocate expenses at year end and assist with year end audit
  • Handle HR issues relative to payroll
