Semi-Annual Meetings

HQ, USAC hosts an annual Leadership Symposium, typically in April in conjunction with the Corps’ anniversary.  The Leadership Symposium includes:

Battle Command Brief:  One-day meeting of the HQ, USAC staff to discuss the status and future of the USAC.

Battle Staff Brief:  A weekend program focused on unit support, program development, CG’s Roundtable and more.  This forum is designed specifically for Unit Commanders, Executive Officers, 1SGs and C/1SGs and acting C/1SGs in the grade of C/SGT or above.

Army Cadet Birthday Ball:  The official celebration of the USAC’s Anniversary.

Annual Promotion Board:  Selection board to review officers, NCOs and senior Cadets (C/SFC and above) for consideration for promotion.

Company Commanders, Detachment Officer-in-Charges and Unit Formation Project Officers are expected to attend the Battle Staff Brief.  This is a key responsibility of command which is essential to the furtherance of the local units.  Other officers, NCOs and Cadet NCOs are invited to attend the Professional Development sessions and the Birthday Ball.  Unit Commanders may use unit funds to pay for the registration and transportation of themselves and one additional officer and one Cadet NCO, dependent on the availability of funds.

Each fall, the senior leadership of the Corps gathers to plan out the specifics of the upcoming year at the Executive Leadership Conference (ELC).  This event, usually the first weekend in December, is held in conjunction with the lighting of the HQ, USAC Christmas Tree and the annual Army/Navy football game.  GO ARMY!
